Every last one of us was exhausted by the time the move was done. Everyone was probably exhausted before the actual "moving" began, to be honest. We got home from picking Mike up at the office on his way back from Portland around 9pm the night before the move. Fast food for dinner, of course, because we're creative like that. Turns out Litha enjoyed the leftovers for mid rats. At least she got down to business and didn't spread the mayhem around the house. So courteous!
Trying to get squared away and out the door to pick up the UHaul at 7am was a struggle, but we managed to pick the truck up on time and meet everyone for breakfast before getting started. Happy early Mother's Day, also!
We had the move complete, the truck returned, sat in commute traffic (won't miss that...) and were home by around 6pm or so. Tough day, but successful! After mom and Auntie Joye left for the night, I laid down on the floor to twist and stretch my back a bit, but Litha decided I was taking a nap...
Litha and I are scheduled to roll out in the morning. No telling whether exhaustion or anticipation will win the sleep war tonight. I am certain we will not make it out of the driveway before 9am, though, like I'd hoped.
